We may not be doing sports camps this summer, but swim lessons are a must (in my book). And G just completed his week for this summer. He did great, but I have mixed feelings about the experience. His confidence has grown SOOOOO much in recent months, and he was definitely ready for a new challenge--in swim lesson terms that would mean moving off the steps of the pool and over to the wall in the 3 ft. area. And, in fact, that's where they started him out on Monday. Yes, he was nervous, but he tried his best and was in good spirits about the whole experience. But then Tuesday rolled around, and another little girl needed to be moved into his group because the teachers decided she wasn't quite ready for the level of swimming they initially started her at. So that made 5 kiddos. 1 too many for semi-private lessons, which we were paying for. So guess who got shipped back to the steps based strictly on his height (or actually lack of height)? Ho-hum. But I have to admit that G wasn't sad about it one bit. He was actually a tiny bit relieved. Because the steps are safe. And confident as my boy is these days, he still likes safe. Don't we all? So...eh...he did more of the same that he's done for 2 or 3 rounds of lessons already, but at least he had fun, and he is WAY more comfortable in the water now than he used to be. And his teacher was good. That's always a big plus. But next time you can be certain that I'll speak up for my "shorty"!
Bug eyes!!! Hey, whatever works. Right, Sarri? :)
These 2 are still patiently waiting in the wings for their shot at lessons next year...when they're 4!!! They were so good all week long. Sweet babes.
Awwww, Friday. A job well done by all. That means treats all around!

We haven't done swim lessons yet this year. Ry truthfully hasn't been overly excited to do them. The semi-privates are definitely the way to go however. We may still get him out there yet. You had the same teacher we had last year. She was great.
